Frequently Asked Questions

Keratin Bond Extensions

  • Keratin bond extensions are a strand-by-strand method where small sections of hair are attached using keratin — the same protein your hair is naturally made of.

Each bond I create is completely customized by hand to match your hair’s density, colour, and movement… so the end result looks and feels like your own hair.

  • Not all K-tips are created equal.

Most extensions come pre-bonded from factories — meaning the bond size, keratin amount, and hair density are standardized.

    I take a different approach.

    Every set I install is:

    • Custom blended for your exact colour (including highlights + lowlights)

    • Handcrafted into individual bonds

    • Density-matched to your natural hair

    • Designed for comfort, flexibility, and seamless grow-out

My method is intentionally gentle on the hair, with placement and customization designed to minimize tension and support the health of your natural hair over time.

Hair health will always come first — which is why every detail is considered, from the amount of hair in each bond to how it’s installed.

The goal is a result that feels effortless, wears comfortably, and looks completely seamless — like your own hair.

  • When done properly — no.

My installs are specifically designed around:

    • Hair health

    • Proper spacing from the scalp

    • Even weight distribution

    • Flexible, lightweight bonds

This allows your hair to grow naturally without tension, pulling, or stress on the root.

  • They shouldn’t.

If extensions feel tight, bulky, itchy, or painful -  something is off.

My goal is for your extensions to feel like your own hair.
Most clients forget they even have them after the first few days.

  • Keratin bond extensions are typically worn for 3–4 months before removal.

However, longevity can vary from person to person depending on factors such as your natural hair texture, density, lifestyle, and overall hair condition.

After removal, the hair can often be re-tipped and reused — as long as it remains in good condition and there is enough length to work with.

Throughout your consultation, I’ll guide you on what kind of timeline you can expect based on your hair and how to get the most longevity out of your set.

  • Because every set is fully custom, pricing varies.

    Most full installs range from:
    $1,900 – $4,500+

    This investment depends on:

    • Desired length

    • Thickness/density

    • Colour work + level of customization

    • Amount of hair needed

    • The type and sourcing of the hair

I work with a range of high-quality hair, including raw, single-donor bundles, which can vary in availability. Some textures, tones, and lengths are more rare and require more intentional sourcing — which can influence the overall investment.

All quotes are provided during an in-person consultation, where I create a fully customized plan based on your hair and your goals.

  • My installs are all-inclusive and designed to be a fully customized experience from start to finish.

    This typically includes:

    • Custom-sourced hair + handcrafted bond creation

    • Full installation

    • Custom colour blending and refinement (if needed)

    • A personalized home care kit

    • A complimentary follow-up blowout to check in on your hair after your first install

For longer appointments, I also provide beverages and lunch, so you can relax and feel taken care of throughout your time in my chair.

Every detail is considered — so your experience feels effortless, and your hair reflects it.

  • Yes — all extension services require an in-person consultation.

    This allows me to:

    • Assess your natural hair

    • Understand your goals

    • Colour match + plan your blend

    • Determine if K-tips are the right fit

From there, I’ll create a fully customized plan and quote.

  • Yes — and comfortably.

My bonds are designed to be:

    • Small

    • Flexible

    • Strategically placed

So you can wear your hair up, down, in a ponytail, or a bun without tension or discomfort.

Can I colour my hair with extensions in?

Yes,  keratin bond extensions can be coloured, but this should always be done in-salon.

Colouring at home is not recommended, as it can affect both the integrity of the extensions and the bonds.

When needed, I’ll create a customized plan to safely colour and maintain both your natural hair and your extensions — ensuring everything stays seamless, healthy, and consistent.

  • You’ll receive a full home care kit and personalized instructions, but generally:

    • Use salon-quality products

    • Brush properly — including at the root, using the brush provided in your kit

    • Avoid oils directly on the bonds

    • Keep them clean, detangled, and well-maintained

    • Follow your stylist’s recommendations for your specific hair

Proper care supports better longevity, optimal wear, and the overall health of both your natural hair and your extensions.

  • Installs can take anywhere from 4–10+ hours, depending on the amount of hair and level of customization.

This is a detailed, precision service — and worth taking the time to do properly.

  • I do not offer payment plans at this time.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and begin creating your custom hair.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment.

  • Keratin bonds can be worn on a wide range of hair types and textures.

That said, the right fit often comes down to your lifestyle, maintenance habits, and commitment to proper care.

During your consultation, I’ll assess your hair and walk you through what will work best for you — ensuring your extensions not only look seamless, but wear comfortably and maintain the health of your natural hair.

  • Start by booking a consultation.

From there, we’ll build your custom plan and move forward with your install.

✨ If you’re looking for extensions that feel like your own hair… you’re in the right place.

Colour Services

  • I specialize in transformative, customized colour.

    This includes:

    • Corrective colour

    • Lived-in blonding

    • Platinum blonding

    • Creative/vivid colour

Every service is tailored to your hair, your goals, and what can be achieved while maintaining the integrity of your hair.

  • Most new colour clients will require a consultation — especially for blonding, vivids, or corrective work.

    This allows me to:

    • Assess your hair history and current condition

    • Set realistic expectations

    • Create a customized plan and timeline

    • Provide an accurate investment for your service

For more standard services (such as highlights, balayage, or full colour), appointments may be booked without a consultation. A deposit is required, and bookings are typically based on an average timeframe.

If additional time or correction is needed beyond what was booked, a follow-up appointment may be required to safely achieve your desired result.

  • All colour services are custom priced.

Your investment will vary depending on:

    • Your starting point

    • Desired result

    • Hair density and length

    • Time and product required

More complex services (such as corrective colour or platinum transformations) may be quoted hourly or as a custom session.

  • In some cases, yes — but not always.

For larger transformations, especially when lifting out previous colour, it may take multiple sessions to reach your goal safely.

My approach is always focused on:

    • Hair health

    • Controlled, intentional lifting

    • Long-term results over rushing the process

  • Corrective colour involves adjusting, shifting, or fixing previous colour.

    This can include:

    • Removing dark or uneven colour

    • Correcting banding or patchiness

    • Transitioning from box dye to blonde

    • Major colour shifts

    • Transitioning from highlights or balayage into a more solid or platinum blonde

These services are highly customized and often require a long-term plan to achieve your desired result safely.

  • Lived-in blonding is designed to create a soft, dimensional blonde with a natural grow-out.

This is often achieved through techniques commonly referred to as balayage or highlighting services, depending on your hair and desired result.

    This means:

    • Less harsh lines

    • Lower maintenance

    • A more effortless, blended finish

It’s ideal if you want brightness while still keeping things natural, soft, and low-maintenance.

  • Yes — platinum blonding is one of my specialties.

This is a high-maintenance, high-precision service that requires:

    • Regular upkeep

    • Commitment to proper home care

    • A healthy starting point

If your hair has a history of colour, or previous balayage/highlighting, achieving a solid or platinum blonde may be considered a corrective service.

Not all hair can safely achieve platinum in one session, and I will always prioritize the integrity of your hair.

  • Yes ✨

From subtle tones to full transformations, vivid colour is completely customized.

    These services often require:

    • Pre-lightening

    • A consultation

    • Ongoing maintenance to keep colours vibrant

  • When done properly, it doesn’t have to.

    My work is built around:

    • Controlled, low-and-slow lifting

    • Professional, salon-quality products

    • Bond-building treatments (like K18)

    • Knowing when to stop

Healthy hair will always come before pushing for a result too quickly.

  • Colour appointments can range from 3–8+ hours, depending on the service.

Corrective and major transformations may take longer or require multiple sessions.

  • Yes — in many cases, combining colour with extensions can enhance your final result.

    This can help:

    • Add brightness without over-processing

    • Create dimension

    • Achieve tones or fullness that may not be possible with colour alone

This is something we can plan during your consultation.

  • Maintenance is customized to you, but generally includes:

    • Using salon-quality products

    • Regular toning or gloss appointments

    • Minimizing heat damage

    • Following a home care routine tailored to your hair

Proper maintenance keeps your colour looking fresh while supporting the health of your hair.

  • Yes — corrective colour transformations are one of my specialties.

Working with previously coloured or box-dyed hair is absolutely possible, but it is a process that requires a customized plan.

Lifting out artificial colour can be unpredictable, and in many cases, achieving your desired result will take multiple sessions to do safely.

My approach is always focused on:

    • Maintaining the integrity of your hair

    • Lifting in a controlled, intentional way

    • Creating a result that is both realistic and long-lasting

During your consultation, I’ll assess your hair and map out a plan tailored to your starting point and goals.
